Four years later, it still stings to see Logan Wilson's holding call in Super Bowl LVI.
The Cincinnati Bengals had the Los Angeles Rams on the ropes with under two minutes remaining in the game. Wilson executed seemingly textbook coverage against triple crown wide receiver Cooper Kupp on third-and-goal, and was flagged for defensive holding nonetheless.
Kupp scored the game-winning touchdown moments later. L.A. won the game, and Wilson's flag is still talked about amongst Bengals fans as a moment of infamy.
Now that Wilson has announced his retirement, he made sure to make his thoughts known on the play that will follow him for the rest of his days.
Wilson's retirement brought attention back to his holding penalty and was even asked for his thoughts on the call. The 29-year old told it like it is.
"It still wasn't holding in my humble opinion," Wilson posted on X/Twitter.

What could've been a highlight of Bengals history turned into the moment everything went down an unfortunate path. Either way, it was destined to be unforgettable.
Wilson was drafted with the 65th overall pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Cincinnati drafted quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Tee Higgins with its first two picks of the draft that year, making Wilson the third pillar of the roster from that defining class of players.
Burrow and Higgins are paid handsomely now, but Wilson received his second contract before either of them. He signed a four-year, $40 million extension in August of 2023. He only saw two years of the deal as he was traded during the 2025 season to the Dallas Cowboys, and was released by the Cowboys this offseason.
He's moving on from football, but not before letting the world know that flag probably should've been kept in the ref's pocket.
