Look of the Day for Thursday, Nov. 16: Going 'under' cover on 'TNF'

We simply can't catch a break with our Look of the Day picks. We were once again on pace to cash a plus-money NBA prop bet on Wednesday night, but another blowout resulted in Jordan Poole scoring zero points in the fourth quarter to come up four points shy of a cash.

With how many blowouts we've seen in the NBA lately, let's move away from player props and try out a more stable market.

Look of the Day: Ravens vs. Bengals under 46.5 (-108 BetRivers)

Sports betting shouldn't be as easy as taking the same bet over and over and cashing at a nearly 70 percent clip, especially in the NFL, the tightest market in the industry. But if you blindly bet prime-time unders starting last season, you'd be living quite well.

Prime-time unders in the NFL are 25-7 this season (78.1 percent) and 65-29 (69.1 percent) dating back to the beginning of last year. Insane.

Blindly tailing a trend isn't a wise sports betting strategy, but we see some value in this number anyway. If you take out last week's poor performance against the Houston Texans, the Cincinnati Bengals defense has been one of the best units in the NFL over the last month. Cincinnati held the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks all under 19 points in three straight games. The Bengals did give up 415 yards and 27 points to the Ravens in Week 2, but we're expecting a better performance on "Thursday Night Football."

As for the other side of the ball, the Ravens have the best defense in the league in terms of yards per play allowed and yards per pass attempt allowed. It won't be easy for Cincy to move the ball through the air without Tee Higgins in the lineup.
