The Los Angeles Chargers received more troubling injury news Monday morning. The 1-2 team has seen the injury bug affect their offense. Running back Austin Ekeler has missed the previous two games with an ankle injury.
Wide receiver Mike Williams sustained an injury against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3. Williams had to be helped off the field with a knee injury. Williams had an MRI done Monday morning to determine the severity of the injury.
According to Ian Rapoport, Williams has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
If #Chargers WR Mike Williams is indeed out for the season, as feared, 1st round pick rookie Quentin Johnston will need to step up to replace him.
So far, Johnston only caught 5 passes for 26 yards in three games. Josh Palmer will also help a lot.https://t.co/A09lq8WZWl

Williams, a former first-round pick, will be replaced by a 2023 first-round pick, Quentin Johnson. Johnson has five catches for 26 yards this season.
The Chargers will also hope Ekeler can return soon. The Chargers’ star running back has not been placed on injured reserve, so one would assume he’ll be back to play soon. However, Ekeler did not practice all of last week.
