The Los Angeles Rams and head coach Sean McVay are hopeful of getting back to being a Super Bowl contender in 2025. So far this offseason, the team has made a couple of moves that could help them get there.
Among the moves the team has made are the additions of star wide receiver Davante Adams and the signing of defensive tackle Poona Ford.
While they haven't made a lot of moves, the two additions of Adams and Ford should improve the team on both sides of the ball.
Looking ahead to the 2025 NFL draft next month, the Rams could look to be active in trade discussions.
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report has urged Los Angeles to make a move out of the first round.
"In theory, the Rams could trade out of Round 1, add an extra Day 2 selection and still land a quality prospect like Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston, Florida State cornerback Azareye'h Thomas or Oregon linebacker Jeffrey Bassa," Knox wrote.
He explained more about the situation the Rams are in heading into the draft.
"Because of their cap situation and track record of drafting and developing players, the Rams should already be looking to trade out of the first round," he wrote. "They currently hold the 26th overall pick, which could be a tricky spot in this year's draft class."
With the NFL draft set to begin on April 24, Los Angeles has just under a month left to make a decision. If they don't trade the pick, they will be on the clock with the No. 26 overall selection in the first round.
