Rookie QB boost and a breakout RB’s leap headline this week’s Madden ratings shake-up.

The latest Madden 26 ratings update is here, and fans are treating it like Christmas morning with a side of salt. Some are celebrating big boosts like kids unwrapping the latest console, while others are groaning like they just got socks instead. From a young quarterback trying to earn respect to a breakout running back now sitting among the league’s elite, Week 3’s adjustments have already sparked heated debates online.

Caleb Williams was among the most discussed names, with the Bears rookie getting a modest bump to a 76 overall after a strong showing. While his awareness (+3) and deep throw accuracy (+3) improved, fans weren’t impressed by EA’s cautious upgrade. One fan vented,  ‘76 overall is hilarious typical Bears tax’, while another called it outright disrespect, arguing that if another young QB had posted similar stats, the bump would have been much bigger.

On the other side of the spectrum, James Cook saw his stock rise to a 92 overall, earning praise from Bills Mafia. The boost, fueled by improved spin move (+4) and ball carrier vision (+1), had fans celebrating online with reactions like,  ‘Holy, 92 already’. It’s a leap that firmly places him among the top backs in the game and gives Buffalo’s offense a major presence in Madden.

Other notable movers included Tre Tucker, who gained a boost after emerging as a deep threat, Isaiah Rodgers, who picked up speed upgrades, Ricky Pearsall, who saw his route running improve, and Tremaine Edmunds, who benefited from a tackling increase.

Week 3 Ratings Highlights

  • Caleb Williams: +1 to 76 OVR — awareness +3, deep throw accuracy +3.
  • James Cook: +2 to 92 OVR — spin move +4, break tackle +1, ball carrier vision +1.
  • Tre Tucker: +2 to 76 OVR — deep route running +2, medium route running +2, catching +1.
  • Isaiah Rodgers : +4 to 80 OVR — awareness +6, man coverage +3, zone coverage +3.
  • Ricky Pearsall : +2 to 80 OVR — catching +2, catch in traffic +3, short route running +1.
  • Tremaine Edmunds : +2 to 82 OVR — awareness +3, zone coverage +1, man coverage +1.

Whether it’s Bears fans feeling slighted, Bills fans celebrating Cook, or Niners fans pushing the Warner-for-99 campaign, the Madden 26 ratings continue to fuel weekly debates that feel almost as intense as the real games themselves.
