Major Bounce-Back Move for Dak Prescott Predicted For Cowboys
Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is the glue that holds this offense together, and last season, his year ended early thanks to a hamstring injury.

But now, on the comeback trail and ready to go for training camp next month, Dak is ready to have a bounce-back season and one that he hopes will see him lead this team back to the playoffs.

Of course, there are a lot of variables, like Brian Schottenheimer's new-ish scheme, the different faces at running back, how George Pickens will settle, and the revamped offensive line.

Those are all question marks on Dallas right now. But what if everything goes smoothly? Can Dak's numbers be back on the move upward?

Fox Sports' Henry McKenna, in his "if everything goes right" take, sees Dak rediscover his 2021 form.

"Remember when he threw for 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions? Honestly, me neither," McKenna writes. "Even if that feels distant, it's possible with this offensive unit."

Hmm, right.

If everything goes right, surely Prescott's 2023 season that saw him finish runner-up for the MVP would be the go-to season, yeah?

Dak had more passing yards, had one less interception and touchdown, had a higher completion percentage, had a higher QBR and passer rating, and he won an extra game.

Still, we get it.

Prescott to rediscover the form that some think is good enough to take Dallas back to the promised land is what we are after.

On paper, it appears he has the tools to do so with Pickens and CeeDee Lamb; the run game "should" be better than last year, and the same can be said for the offensive line.

It's just a matter of whether everything can come together.

And if it does, Prescott will have had quite the year.
