Malik Nabers flashing elite skill at Giants training camp

The NFL season is rapidly approaching. It's been a long six months since the Eagles beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in February, and teams have finally started to come together for training camp.

Training camp and the preseason are often when fans just hold their breath, hoping none of their players get injured. However, it also provides the opportunity to see players emerge while the stars continue to demonstrate why they are the center of attention.

For the New York Giants, the offense revolves around superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers. The 21-year-old is one of the best up-and-coming wideouts in the sport and has been putting his skill set on full display in recent days.

ESPN's Jordan Raanan shared a clip of Nabers in a 1-on-1 drill at camp on Thursday.

The guy covering Nabers in that video is free agent signing Paulson Adebo, who is a very good cornerback in his own right. It just shows how talented Nabers is.

The sixth overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft had a spectacular rookie season, racking up 109 receptions, 1,204 yards, and seven touchdowns in 15 games. Not only did he pile up these impressive numbers as a rookie, but he did so with disastrous quarterback play from the likes of Daniel Jones and Drew Lock, among others.

Heading into 2025, the situation should be much better for Nabers with veteran Russell Wilson calling the shots to start the season. And if things don't pan out with Russ, they can turn to rookie Jaxson Dart or veteran Jameis Winston as fallback options.

In a loaded NFC East with the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, rising Washington Commanders and always competitive Dallas Cowboys, the Giants could find themselves behind in a lot of ball games. If that's the case, Nabers should see a boatload of targets, and with his talent, that could result in a massive stat line at season's end.

While his play as a rookie was tremendous, it could just be a precursor for what's to come from Nabers, who's on a path towards becoming one of the best wide receivers in football.
