Malik Nabers has been tearing up training camp for the Giants, amid Russell Wilson’s arrival in New York. However, he suffered an injury on Tuesday that has fans holding their breath.

Per ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the former LSU wide receiver was banged up on a run play, staying on the ground for a few seconds before grabbing his shoulder as he walked off the field. Nabers then left practice with trainers, not returning to the field and appearing done for the day after the incident.

Any time missed by Nabers in the regular season would be a major blow for the Giants. Last season, the wide receiver caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns, all while dealign with uneven quarterback play.

However, the newly-mentioned shoulder injury isn’t the only ailment Nabers has been dealing with in 2025. On Monday, he told Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show that he’s been battling a nagging toe injury since his college days.

“It’s like a mosquito that don’t want to go away,” Nabers said Monday, per NFL.com. “I’m trying to shoo it away. But I’ve been doing a great job with Russell (Wilson), trainers, you know, I’ve been using his physical therapist guys. I’ve been doing an excellent job of just staying on track of it and having his people, having my people, all together, trying to work on keeping me as healthy as possible.

“We’re moving in the right direction. We’re just staying on top of it so it don’t give me any problems later on down the line. … This mosquito is one of them big mosquitoes. Can’t get this one. We’re trying to kill it, though.”

At the least, Nabers has been playing magnificently throughout dealing with this toe injury. You wouldn’t even know he was hurt if he didn’t say anything. Still, it’s never welcomed news to hear your star player is dealing with some discomfort.

Moving forward, the Giants are entering a pivotal season, and they’ll need Malik Nabers to be 100%, or close to it. We’ll see what’s next for the star wide receiver, but the franchise is certainly wishing for continued health throughout 2025 for his sophomore season.
