Malik Willis Headlines Dolphins’ Six Captains for 2026

The Miami Dolphins overhauled their roster this offseason.

On Monday, they unveiled their captains for the 2026 season on social media.

Quarterback Malik Willis, running back De’Von Achane, center Aaron Brewer, left tackle Patrick Paul, defensive lineman Zach Sieler, and linebacker Jordyn Brooks are the six players who will wear captain patches on their jerseys.

“The players voted for those guys, and I think they deserved it,” Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley said Monday. “In each of their own way, they’ve shown the ability to lead in all different ways. I think it says a lot about those six guys that they received the votes from their peers.

“I think those guys kind of set the standard of what we want and what we’re looking for, but it doesn’t end there. I think developing leaders is very important, and it doesn’t have to just come from the captains, and I talked to the team about that today. But I’m excited for those six guys. I think they’ve earned it.”

Willis, Achane and Paul are captains for the first time. After Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan arrived from the Green Bay Packers, one of their first moves was signing Willis to a three-year, $67.5 million contract in March. During his short time with the Dolphins, several teammates have praised Willis’ leadership on and off the field.

Achane received a four-year, $68 million contract extension during the offseason. He is coming off a Pro Bowl season in which he rushed for a career-high 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025.

Brooks and Brewer also received contract extensions this offseason, and both will serve as Dolphins captains for the second consecutive season. Sieler is the longest-tenured player on Miami’s roster, and this is his third consecutive year as a captain.

Paul is also a captain for the first time. He enjoyed a breakout season in 2025, allowing just four sacks.
