After significant speculation, the culprit in orchestrating the Shedeur Sanders prank call on Draft Day has finally been revealed.
A short while ago, Jax Ulbrich - the son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich - took to Instagram to confess to making the call to Sanders on Friday. He apologized, said he called Shedeur personally and called his actions "selfish and childish."
"On Friday night I made a tremendous mistake. Shedeur, what I did was completely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful. I'm so sorry I took away from your moment, it was selfish and childish. I could never imagine getting ready to celebrate one of hte greatest moments of your life and I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment. Thank you for accepting my call earlier today, I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me," he wrote, tagging Shedeur.

The Atlanta Falcons followed up Ulbrich's post with one of their own, explaining how the 21-year-old "unintentionally came across" the Shedeur's contact info. The team defended Coach Ulbrich and said that they do not condone the behavior.
"Earlier this week, Jax Ulbrich, the 21-year-old son of defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, unintentionally came across the draft contact phone number for Shedeur Sadners off an open iPad while visiting his parent's home and wrote the number down to later conduct a prank call. Jeff Ulbrich was unaware of the data exposure or any facets of the prank and was made aware of the above only after the fact," the team said.
"The Atlanta Falcons do not condone this behavior and send our sincere apologies to Shedeur Sanders and his family, who we have been in contact with to apologize to, as well as facilitate an apology directly from Jax to the Sanders family.
"We have also been in contact with the NFL and will continue to cooperate fully with any inquiries we may receive from the NFL league office.
"We are thoroughly reviewing all protocols, and updating if necessary, to help prevent an incident like this from happening again."
Jeff Ulbrich is in his second stint with the Falcons after previously serving the team in a variety of roles between 2015 and 2020. He departed in 2021 to become the defensive coordinator of the New York Jets, a position he held until midway through the 2024 season.
Ulbrich was promoted to interim head coach during the 2024 season following the dismissal of Robert Saleh. He went 3-9 as interim head coach.
Now the question emerges: Who prank called Tyler Warren?
