Marshawn Lynch has always done things his own way. Remember the former Seattle Seahawks running back reciting his infamous “I’m only here so I don’t get fined” line 29 times during the Super Bowl XLIX Media Day event in 2015?
Well, it appears not much has changed seven years into his retirement. The 39-year-old Lynch was spotted riding a Lime electric rental bike through downtown Seattle on Sunday afternoon, seemingly on his way to Lumen Field for tonight’s NFC Championship game beween the Los Angeles Rams and the host Seahawks. Kickoff is set for 6:30 pm ET and will be televised on FOX.

Feb. 1, 2015, will forever be a day Seattle Seahawks fans would love to forget. Those watching a June episode of “Jeopardy!” were given an unfortunate reminder.
Yes, we’re talking about that interception — the one Russell Wilson threw to Malcolm Butler at the 1-yard line with 20 seconds remaining in Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots. Butler’s takeaway sealed the Patriots’ 28-24 victory over the Seahawks in one of the most memorable endings in Super Bowl history.
But for Seahawks fans, it’s a nightmare. Jeopardy! is still asking the question that was on the minds of NFL fans a decade ago: “Why didn’t they give Marshawn Lynch the ball?”

On the play before Wilson’s untimely turnover, Lynch rushed his way to a four-yard gain to put the Seahawks just a yard away from their second consecutive Lombardi Trophy. Instead, the decision was made to put the ball in Wilson’s hands. Butler jumped the route on the pass intended for Ricardo Lockette.
