As winter rolls around, weather conditions for NFL games have taken an interesting twist. While players are accustomed to playing with grass beneath their feet, a Week 13 matchup in the NFL will add a thick layer of snow to the terrain
The Buffalo Bills are welcoming the San Francisco 49ers to the Highmark Stadium, in Week 13, for a "Sunday Night Football" matchup.
While the matchup features some of the NFL's biggest stars like Josh Allen, Christian McCaffrey, Nick Bosa and more, much of the conversation has centered around the weather.
There is currently a snowstorm in Orchard Park, New York, with the temperature sitting at 30 degrees with winds of 10 to 20 miles an hour.
While the stadium is already covered in snow, the temperature is set to hit lows of around 20 degrees with continued downpour of snow and flurries.

While the cold weather and field conditions may seem like a problem for fans, individuals around the NFL community are excited for the "Winter Wonderland."
"Always good to see (snow emoji)," said Rasul Douglas, Bills defensive back.
"It'll be Brock Purdy and the 49ers trying to deal with the Bills mafia, the weather and Josh Allen and that dynamic Buffalo team. It's going to be a great atmosphere," said Tony Dungy, former NFL head coach.
"We’re snow ready for SNF," posted Sunday Night Football on NBC.
