The Green Bay Packers' season came to an end in the wild-card round of the playoffs with a 22-10 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Even though they're just a couple of days into their offseason, head coach Matt LaFleur has already lost a member of his coaching staff who unretired to work with former quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers had high expectations this season but a slew of injuries ultimately prevented them from building off of their successful 2023 season in which they knocked off the Dallas Cowboys on the road in the wild-card round.
The first of Green Bay's anticipated offseason changes have already begun as LaFleur revealed on Tuesday morning that longtime quarterbacks Tom Clements would be retiring (again) after 14 seasons with the team.
"Longtime Packers QB coach Tom Clements is retiring, Matt LaFleur says," Matt Schneidman shared in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Clements latched on with Green Bay back in 2006, spending six years as the team's quarterbacks coach — a role that had working extensively with Rodgers. Clements was promoted to the Packers' offensive coordinator from 2012 to 2014, and then assistant head coach for 2015 and 2016.
After spending the 2019 and 2020 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, Clements retired for one season only to come out of retirement in 2022 to return to Green Bay as its quarterbacks coach, presumably to keep Rodgers happy. It didn't work though, and Rodgers bolted to the New York Jets after just one season.
Clements remained with the Packers to help develop Jordan Love, who's turned into one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
With that job done, Clements opted to call it a career and Green Bay now has a big position it needs to fill on its coaching staff.
