The Green Bay Packers are now in a new era with quarterback Jordan Love. Former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets after spending 18 seasons with the Packers. Recently, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur discussed the trade's impact on the rest of the roster.

LaFleur was asked about how the team reacted to the trade. He does not think that it had a huge impact on the team overall, via Bleacher Report.

“I mean, you’re talking about some of the better players at their respective positions in the league, so I’m sure these guys have a lot of confidence,” LaFleur said. “As far as it affects them? I’ll be honest with you, I don’t know. I think they’re prideful dudes, and they just love to compete, and it really doesn’t matter. They’re just trying to put their best out there each and every day and let it show through on Sundays.”

The Packers played their season opener against the Chicago Bears, earning an impressive 38-20 win on the road.

Love went 15-27 for 245 yards and three passing touchdowns in Chicago. He did not throw any interceptions and made some incredible plays against the Bears’ defense. Second-year wide receiver Romeo Doubs scored two touchdowns to help lead the Green Bay Packers to victory.

Aaron Rodgers played 18 seasons with the Packers organization. In that time, he threw for almost 60,000 yards, 475 touchdown passes and 105 interceptions.

Rodgers started in his first game with the New York Jets on Monday night. Unfortunately, his play was cut short after suffering an Achilles injury early in the first quarter. He only took four snaps before going down with the season-ending injury.

With the first week in the books for the Packers, LaFleur could be right about his team as competitors and wanting to be at their best every week. Fans hope that they will continue the same level of play as the season goes on, despite who is at quarterback for the Packers.
