The Los Angeles Rams received a notable scare on Tuesday afternoon when reports regarding Matthew Stafford's health started to float around social media. It sounds like the veteran QB is not quite completely healthy as Los Angeles begins training camp.
According to Jourdan Rodrigue, the Rams quarterback is dealing with back soreness. He will have modified workouts to begin camp. It is not expected to be a major issue, via McVay.
Per Sean McVay, QB Matthew Stafford is dealing with some back soreness heading into this camp. Rams will modify his workouts, and he will start training camp working to the side with trainers. That’s a five-day period, per McVay.

Stafford has dealt with some injuries over the past few years. In 2022, he played in just nine games for LA. Regardless, there is an overarching belief that the modified training regimen will help him be healthy for the start of the season.

Keep in mind - Stafford is 37 years old. Injuries can take more time to get over as you age, particularly in the NFL. For the Rams, they are probably even more focused on protecting Stafford this season, following this news.
Hopefully, Stafford is able to be a full-go by the time that the preseason rolls around for Los Angeles. The Rams are heavily predicted to be a contender in the NFC this season after narrowly losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs last season. In order to accomplish their goals, they'll need their QB on the field and performing.
