Former Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey has slimmed down so much in retirement that many fans probably would not even recognize him.

Pouncey traveled to Ireland with the Steelers for the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin on Sunday. The official fan page of the Steelers shared a video of Pouncey standing outside a pub, and the nine-time Pro Bowl selection looked about 100 pounds lighter than the last time many fans saw him.

Pouncey weighed just over 300 pounds during his playing career, but he has clearly lost a ton of weight.

Pouncey was one of the best centers in football throughout his 11-year career with the Steelers from 2010-2020. Several former NFL offensive linemen have slimmed down in retirement, as they no longer need to maintain weight as part of their profession.

NFL fans were quite familiar with Pouncey during his outstanding run in Pittsburgh, but they might have some trouble identifying him after his body transformation.
