With the NBA Summer League in full swing, fans of every team are getting to see how the future is playing out.
Returning to Las Vegas, this year has certainly provided a fair level of excitement. With strong performances from some of the top rookies in this year’s draft class (as well as Chicago Bulls rookie Noa Essengue turning into a season-long meme), the future of the NBA looks brighter than ever.
For one of the NBA’s more active fans in the sports world in Maxx Crosby, one Summer League was all the Las Vegas Raiders defensive end needed to see to tout a player as the future of the league.
On his X account, Crosby shared a courtside photo of him posing with Dallas Mavericks forward and first overall pick Cooper Flagg, captioning it by saying “Dallas got a great one.”

For a three-time Pro Bowler like Crosby to go out of his way to publicly endorse Flagg, the sports world is noticing the potential the latter has to dominate the league.
Flagg steps in during an uncertain time for the Mavericks, who are still trying to piece together an identity after the shocking trade of franchise player Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in February. The former Duke Blue Devil was the consensus number one pick throughout the season, however, and Dallas at least has a new centerpiece to build their team around.
Game recognizes game, and Crosby appears confident that Flagg is the future of the NBA.
