The Las Vegas Raiders are set to enter a new era as they are expected to hire Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their new head coach and then draft Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick.
That is a great start for a much-needed rebuild in Las Vegas, and that may only be the beginning.
Maxx Crosby has been the face of the Raiders franchise since the team moved to Las Vegas and is still in the prime of his career. It’s no secret that he wants to win right away though, and because of that he and the organization appear to be at an impasse.
With that being the case, a trade has never been more likely as NFL insider Jay Glazer reported on Yahoo Sports that he expects Crosby to be dealt and it could be for an even bigger haul than Micah Parson fetched this past year:
Maxx Crosby's time with the Raiders is most likely DONE, per @JayGlazer

What kind of haul would the five-time Pro Bowler get in the trade market?

While Crosby is a fan-favorite and the best player to wear silver and black in decades, it’s hard to imagine him staying with the team if that is the type of haul the Raiders can get back. Parsons was traded for two first-round picks and a quality defensive tackle in Kenny Clark, which is the exact type of package the Raiders need to speed up their rebuild.
Crosby has made it known over the years that he doesn’t want to play anywhere else, and that loyalty should be well-respected. But this offseason may finally be the right time for both parties to go their separate ways.
It seems that Crosby may finally be ready for a trade as he was unhappy with how the Raiders handled the end of their 2025 season, reportedly not speaking to team executives for weeks.
