Maxx Crosby Sends 6-Word Message on Raiders' All-Pro Extension

The Las Vegas Raiders utilized a different approach this offseason under new general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll. Instead of trying to win the offseason by spending money on free agents, the team opted to build the team for the future.

This meant that several high-dollar free agents left the building. The Raiders replaced them with cheaper veterans or players that they acquired through the 2025 NFL Draft.

Spytek did re-sign a handful of key players however, and he gave defensive end Maxx Crosby a historic extension in March. On Monday, the team also gave a record-breaking extension to All-Pro punter AJ Cole.

When Crosby found out that Cole signed a four-year extension worth $15.8 million, he celebrated his Pro Bowl teammate. He sent a quick message to Cole on Instagram shortly after the news broke.

"Earned. Proud of you my brother @ajcole90," Crosby wrote.

Cole was a First-Team All-Pro in 2021 and 2023, and he earned three straight Pro Bowl nods during that time span. Last year, he had a career-high inĀ yards per punt, which is likely what triggered the extension despite a new regime coming to Las Vegas.

Crosby, Cole, and the rest of the Raiders will begin their season on the road against the New England Patriots in Week 1. Las Vegas will be looking to start strong and make their first playoff appearance since 2021.
