Despite finally having a healthy Aaron Rodgers for the entire 2024 season, the New York Jets couldn't have asked for a worse year, falling to 5-12 and missing the playoffs entirely.
After the down season, the Jets have elected to move on from Rodgers, looking toward another direction, potentially in the NFL draft. Coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey made a joint statement regarding the decision to part ways with Rodgers.
"We want to thank him for the leadership, passion, and dedication he brought to the organization and wish him success moving forward," they said.
However, even with all the offseason chaos, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby believes Rodgers is primed for a big year on whatever team he elects to join.
On Tuesday, Crosby hosted the latest episode of his podcast, "The Rush Podcast ." When discussing Rodgers, Crosby revealed he believes the former Green Bay Packers star can still play at a high level in 2025, hoping he will do it for the Raiders.
"The first year off an Achilles is one of the hardest things to do," Crosby said. "You seen it happen with Kirk (Cousins). Kirk had a down year. It happened with Aaron. He struggled early on, but he got better as the season went. I think with all the doubt and all the negativity around Aaron Rodgers... I know he's 41, but I think he's going to have a big year this year, and I hope it's in our town."
#Raiders DE Maxx Crosby said on his podcast that he hopes veteran QB Aaron Rodgers plays in Las Vegas this upcoming season.

The Raiders are one of the more quarterback-needy teams in the NFL. They could use the No. 6 pick to address the hole, with Colorado's Shedeur Sanders being a popular option. However, bringing in an experienced veteran like Rodgers could make them more competitive.
Las Vegas worked with three different quarterbacks this season, with Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew receiving the most snaps. But their play proved they are not the answer for the Raiders at quarterback moving forward.
