Maxx Crosby's strong debut fuels trade chatter

Maxx Crosby looked solid in his Las Vegas Raiders season debut. 

During the team's season opener against the Miami Dolphins, he recorded two total tackles, 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits.

Crosby's strong season debut has served to ramp up the trade rumors that have followed him since last season and especially since the failed trade for Crosby between the Ravens and Raiders over the offseason.

In a feature released on Thursday in Bleacher Report, Kristopher Knox links two teams to Crosby. You should really be able to guess these two teams. It's the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.

He believes Crosby's projected trade value is a 2027 first-round pick and a 2028 first-round pick.

"Moving a pass rusher like Crosby can help jump-start a rebuild, a reality that the Browns and Dallas Cowboys recently realized," Knox wrote. "The Raiders have realized it as well, as they would have already traded Crosby if the Ravens hadn't backed out of the deal."

"Expect teams that need pass-rushing help to make more offers to acquire Crosby before the trade deadline passes."

So, Crosby trade talk is still very much a thing this season. If it's going to happen at some point in his career, it makes sense that it would be now.
