However, it is worth noting that Crosby is entering his age-29 season and, while he is a great player, probably doesn’t have too many more seasons of elite play left in his tank.

The Raiders do not want to trade Maxx Crosby, but they might not have a choice. The former fourth-round pick clearly doesn’t want to stick around, and a return like this might be too good to ignore. Vegas has a new head coach and (presumably) a new quarterback in Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza. Given the projected timeline of their latest rebuild, it makes all the sense in the world to trade Crosby for a massive return and build a young core that can compete for years to come.
