A New Hope?
Yeah, maybe.
With the hiring of a new General Manager, Jon-Eric Sullivan, there is hope.
He is already making decisions to clean house and hire his own people.
As a fan, that is a welcome sign.
And does that give us hope?
Hell yes.
About time.
Will we need a couple of years to get our s..t together?
Yeah, with the mess that Grier left us.
And do we desperately need to find a QB1 after Dan Marino?
Hell yes!
But Sullivan is a master recruiter and talent spotter, and who can be worse than Chris Grier?
But Grier is finally out of Miami, well out of a job with Miami with the Dolphins.
I wish him and his family well.
And, as a side note, Sullivan was born in Columbia, South Carolina, 45 minutes from where I live, and the home of the University.
Crazy stuff.
And he played football for the Gamecocks.
As a wide receiver.
I like him already.
Yet, be careful, Fins Fans, about dreaming of a New England-type turnaround in 2026.
The Miami Dolphins have no money, must rid the salary cap of Grier’s mistakes, with Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill, and survive the 2026 season.
I do hope that Sullivan and his team will prevail.
Hope is finally here with a whole lot of patience.
