Tyreek Hill has had an interesting offseason with the Miami Dolphins, as trade rumors have swirled around him, largely thanks to comments he has made. Now, he's dealing with more off-field issues, as reports indicate that he was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife on Wednesday.
Immediately after the Dolphins 2024 campaign came to an end, Hill seemed to be requesting a trade out of Miami. He later walked back those comments, and even offered a public apology to his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, reaffirming his commitment to the Dolphins.
"Tua, he's my guy, always will be my guy, no matter what," Hill said on "Up And Adams back in February." "I'm sure he understands my frustration. We all want to win. Tua, he's another competitor. He's a hell of a competitor. A lot of people don't know that. He's a winner. He's consistent. So I'm looking forward just to us continuing to build our relationship even more, and this is my public apology ... This is my public apology to you, Tua. Love you, bro."
Hill recently opened this can of worms again, though, with some cryptic social media activity, but he may have bigger problems than that on his hands now. Police reportedly responded to an assault in progress involving Hill at his condo in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida on Wednesday afternoon.
"Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife at his high-rise condominium in Sunny Isles Beach on Monday, according to an incident report obtained by Local 10 News on Wednesday. Officers with Sunny Isles Beach Police Department responded just before 2 p.m. to the 18000 block of Collins Avenue following a report of an 'assault in progress,'" Ryan Mackey and Rosh Lowe of Local10 reported.
Shortly after news of Hill's involvement in this altercation came out, the Dolphins released a quick statement acknowledging the reports of this domestic dispute.
“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed. We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter."
