Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant DuBosewas went to the hospital after a frightening injury Sunday.

DuBose stayed motionless on the ground after taking a hit to the helmet during the third quarter of a Week 15 matchup against the Houston Texans. Medical personnel took off his jersey and helmet and transported him off the field on a stretcher as he wore a neck brace. Dolphins teammates gathered to pray on the field during a lengthy injury timeout.

Shortly after the scary incident, the Dolphins officially ruled DuBose out for the rest of the game with a head injury. They said he went to the hospital for further evaluation as is in stable condition.

During the CBS broadcast, Melanie Collins said DuBose received emergency treatment from medical staffers inside an ambulance at the NRG Stadium tunnel. They transported him to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

DuBose was playing in his first game since Week 2. He went on the injured reserve in September with a shoulder injury.

The Green Bay Packers selected DuBose in the seventh round of last year's draft. He didn't play as a rookie before getting released in August and subsequently claimed off waivers by Miami.

DuBose secured his only catch for 13 yards in a Sept. 12 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the same Thursday Night Football game Tua Tagovailoa left with his third diagnosed concussion. The 23-year-old caught a pass for minus-2 yards on Sunday.

Jaylen Waddle also exited Miami's Week 15 with a knee injury and has not returned.

Our thoughts go out to DuBose in hopes of a speedy recovery.
