Police were called to Tyreek Hill's home in Florida this week after a domestic dispute between the star wide receiver and his wife. According to Local 10 News, police say they arrived at the home following a report of an "assault in progress."
When they arrived, Hill's mother-in-law described him as “very aggressive and impulsive,” noting that she feared for the safety of her daughter. The mother-in-law called police after she says Hill smashed a computer and grabbed his daughter to walk the home's balcony.
On Wednesday, the Dolphins have released a statement.
“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed," the team said.
"We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”

Hill's wife stated in a police report that the wide receiver "becomes angry and throws objects around." She noted that she would be filing for divorce after admitting that the two had been to couples therapy, but that it has proven to be unsuccessful.
His wife also stated that Hill took the child "without malice," and police say Hill admitted to doing so.
“I have the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want," Hill said, according to the report.
Hill has been involved in a series of off-field incidents during his NFL career. Last season he was detained by police on his way to the Dolphins' opening game of the season, and a social media influencer accused him of fracturing her leg during a football drill.
Hill was also accused of punching a dock worker on a boat last year, in addition to issues that arose from his time with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Dolphins appear to consider the matter closed, and no charges were filed against Hill by his wife or his mother-in-law.
We'll see what happens as Hill prepares for another season with the Dolphins in 2025.
