Before the Week 4 showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys, superstar defensive end Micah Parsons said that he wanted to record a sack on his former teammate and quarterback Dak Prescott.
He got that part on Sunday, but not a win, as the Packers and the Cowboys ended their meeting in a 40-40 tie.
It was a letdown performance from Parsons and Green Bay’s stop unit. Expected to be one of the best in the NFL after trading for Parsons before the start of the 2025 NFL season, the Packers’ defense faltered against Dallas.
Prescott kept puncturing Green Bay with accurate throws, many to wide receiver George Pickens. Prescott had 319 passing yards and three touchdowns with zero picks thrown, while Pickens caught two of those TD tosses while finishing with 134 receiving yards on eight receptions.
Parsons, who had three quarterback hits, said that part of the reason for Dallas’ success against Green Bay’s defense was Prescott being on top of his game.
“You look how precise No. 4 looked tonight, just getting through his throws, getting to his receivers, the timing,” Parsons said about the Cowboys star quarterback, perRob Demovsky and Todd Archer of ESPN.
The four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher also dropped an expletive when sharing what he told Prescott after the game.
“I think he played a better game than we played defense. So, you know, shout-out to Dak, and I told him, I said, ‘You go watch that film. You lucky if you wasn’t on your s—, it would’ve been a long day, it would’ve been a real long day for you,’ but he played a hell of a game, and I give him kudos for that.”
Green Bay is now 2-1-1 through four weeks, as it approaches a bye in Week 5. The Cowboys, on the other hand, are 1-2-1 with a meeting with the New York Jets up ahead.
