Micah Parsons injury update adds to Packers' worries

The Green Bay Packers need pass-rusher Micah Parsons healthy for as much of the 2026 season as possible in order to make their trade with the Dallas Cowboys worth it.

So, of course, heading into the season, one of the biggest questions for the Packers is when Parsons will be ready to take the field again.

According to a report from Yahoo Sports, Parsons is set to be not only the top-paid non-quarterback in the league for 2026 but also the top-paid player in any position.

That's an expensive pill to swallow for someone who's out with an injury.

Micah Parsons makes the physically unable to perform list

Well, some bad news broke about the pass-rusher on Wednesday. It's not what Packers fans had been hoping to hear, but according to the official NFL league news roundup released on Wednesday, Parsons is "expected to open training camp on the physically unable to perform list" with a knee injury, rehabbing from the torn ACL he suffered in December.

LaFleur spoke with reporters on Wednesday about a range of issues, including the Josh Jacobs situation. The running back was arrested in Wisconsin this week on five charges.

"I know there are a lot of questions about Josh. I’m going to stick with the statement that we put out as an organization and just let the process play out," LaFleur said, according to Ryan Wood of USA Today.

LaFleur also talked about the team's running back room, if Jacobs were to be unable to play.

"I like the guys that we have, but certainly, you can never have enough, that's for sure," LaFleur said.

So, the Packers have a few sticky situations on their hands this offseason. We'll have to wait to see how the Parsons and Jacobs situations turn out.
