Micah Parsons: ‘People need to put more respect on’ Dak Prescott after Cowboys’ narrow loss to Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys were so close to a win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday that they could taste it. Alas, in a game where mere inches make the difference, Dak Prescott and the offense fell short. Prescott, who literally came up short on a two-point conversion attempt that would have made the game a three-point decision, took the brunt of the criticism for the loss. However, according to star edge rusher Micah Parsons, the Cowboys QB “outplayed everyone.”

The defensive leader passionately defended the quarterback after the 28-23 loss on Sunday.

“Dak is a freaking warrior,” Parsons said, via Jon Machota. “That’s Dak mother------- Prescott, bro. He’s a dog. He’s a warrior. I have an unbelievable amount of confidence in him. I felt he had a great game. People need to put more respect on him. He outplayed everyone today.”

Though the Cowboys couldn’t grab the win, Prescott had a season-high day against Philadelphia. He threw for 374 passing yards with three touchdowns while throwing no interceptions and taking five sacks. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had a career day with 191 yards on 11 receptions. Second-year tight end Jake Ferguson also had the most productive game of his career yet with 91 yards on seven receptions and one touchdown catch.

Prescott: ‘It’s a game of inches’

The Cowboys looked like they were going to capitalize off of several mistakes by the Eagles in the fourth quarter but the game ended on a pass from Prescott to rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker who went down just shy of the end line.
