Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons took to social media on Monday to react to the shocking free agency moves that occurred on the first day of open negotiations.

After seeing his own starting running back Tony Pollard make his exit for the Tennessee Titans, Parsons got the news that Giants running back Saquon Barkley is staying in the NFC East to play with the Philadelphia Eagles.

“sickening,” Parsons wrote on X with laughing emojis.

The Cowboys star has always advocated for his fellow Nittany Lions alum to get paid, and he definitely is with his new Eagles deal. Barkley is reportedly inking for three years, $37.75 million with $26 million guaranteed. It’s as good of a deal as the former Giants weapon could hope for amid the current trend of devaluing running backs.

Last offseason, Parsons wanted to see the Giants pay Barkley instead of, first, placing the tag on him, then negotiating a deal of similar value.

“The scheme on Monday morning is we [will] not let SAQUON BARKLEY BEAT Us!! People just think we be out here playing free for all!!” Parsons tweeted with laughing face emojis. “Like gtfo! That mf is that offense! Pay him!”

During the 2023 season, Barkley rushed for 962 yards in 14 games with six touchdowns. He also had 41 receptions for 280 yards and four touchdowns. He was coming off of a 1,300-yard season in 2022.
