As the Green Bay Packers gear up for their Week 4 showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, Micah Parsons has his sights set on sacking Dak Prescott. If he pulls it off, Prescott will take a punishing hit while also joining an impressive list of quarterbacks already brought down by the star pass rusher.
Arguably the most memorable sack of Micah Parsons’ young career came against Tom Brady. Back when Brady was leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Parsons took him down for what turned out to be the final sack of Brady’s legendary 23-year career. Now a Packers star, Parsons still cherishes that play and admits Brady remains his favorite quarterback he has ever sacked, per Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press.
Micah Parsons was the last player to sack @TomBrady. He told me sacking the GOAT was his favorite QB to bring down. How does Micah feel about potentially sacking Dak Prescott when the #Packers face the #Cowboys on @SNFonNBC? pic.twitter.com/dHLfFKOEg6

“Every time I see him it’s a competitive matchup. Whether it’s on the field, off the field, whether it’s golf or Fanatics Games, he’s always trying to be the best. When you can say you’re the last person to take out an elite competitor like Tom, it’s a special privilege,” Parsons remarked during his appearance.
Going into Week 4, Micah Parsons has already piled up 54 career sacks. He has logged at least 12 in each of his four NFL seasons, peaking with 14 in 2023. The relentless pass rusher has also earned Pro Bowl honors every year of his career. With one and a half sacks through his first three games as a Packer, Parsons is eager to extend that streak.
What changes for Parsons this week is the target under center. After spending years as Prescott’s teammate, he will now be chasing him down. It might sting on a personal level, but the Packers badly need a win. If the All-Pro plays at his peak, Green Bay’s chances of leaving Dallas victorious rise dramatically.
Parsons told the Associated Press that he’s eager for the chance to sack Prescott, even if it feels strange going after his former teammate. “It’s going to be painful. That’s my guy. He was always like a good mentor for me. But you know how it is. He always told me if I ever faced him that it’ll be a great matchup, so I’m excited to see what Sunday brings itself.”
