Michael Strahan Quietly Announces Massive Personal News

Michael Strahan and the NFL On FOX crew will be back on full display on Sunday afternoon, September 13 – the first full Sunday of the 2026 regular season.

The former New York Giants star, a Hall of Fame pass rusher who won a Super Bowl, has long been part of FOX’s NFL coverage. Strahan, now 54, joined FOX in 2008. He’s been part of the network’s NFL coverage for nearly two decades.

Strahan, who also has worked for “Good Morning America,” is a fan favorite in NFL and media circles. The New York Giants legend was a tremendous player, finishing his career with 141.5 total sacks and a Super Bowl title in 15 seasons, and he’s become one of the top former players turned media figures, too.

But while Strahan is very much a public figure, he’s kept some of his personal life pretty quiet to this point.

Michael Strahan and his girlfriend, Kayla Quick, “quietly” welcomed a child into the world, ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

The “GMA” anchor and his girlfriend, Kayla Quick, welcomed a baby girl into the world. It’s Strahan’s fifth child.

“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the ‘Good Morning America’ anchor and Kayla became parents together in 2026, adding another daughter to Michael’s growing family,” they reported.

“Michael and Kayla began dating in 2015 and have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight ever since. While there have recently been reports that the couple had gone their separate ways, they were together for more than a decade.”

Everything you need to know about Strahan’s girlfriend

Kayla Quick is in her late 30s.

The couple has been together since 2015. They reportedly met at a Super Bowl party and have been together ever since. Strahan, now 54, was previously engaged to Nicole Murphy, whom he split from in August 2015.

The girlfriend of the NFL legend founded and runs the brand Fizzness. The company is a beauty-based wellness brand that sells single-packet powdered drinks meant to deliver “a daily dose of energy and beauty with antioxidants and adaptogens,” according to her website.

The couple keeps the majority of their relationship quiet, rarely speaking about their dating life in public, or posting on social media.

Michael and Kayla appear to still be going strong more than 10 years into their relationship, though, as they’ve taken a huge step this offseason, with the welcoming of their first child together.

Strahan, meanwhile, will be back on the air on FOX’s NLF pregame show on Sunday morning, beginning at 12 p.m. E.T.
