Michael Thomas throws major shade at Derek Carr and Dennis Allen

There's been clear disconnect this season for the New Orleans Saints. It has come to a peak over the last couple of weeks.

Dennis Allen disagreed with Alvin Kamara on the team's lack of an identity. Now, a fan favorite is indirectly butting heads with the team's new quarterback.

Some of Michael Thomas' social media activity from Wednesday went viral. Thomas liked an Instagram comment that disrespected the Saints head coach and QB.

Then, Thomas uploaded a video onto his story of Drew Brees discussing leadership and finding the open receiver to throw to on offense. Could this be a jab at Derek Carr? There's fair reason to believe that's the case.

It did not stop there, either.

Thomas' Twitter timeline was filled with motivational retweets on Wednesday. He was clearly trying to make a point - in some way. The most notable tweet that he retweeted was about leaders. In particular, it pointed out that weak leaders avoid tough conversations.

This was shortly after Derek Carr's press conference where he seemingly pushed through a question about the offense's red zone struggles. In a way, he did avoid that conversation when asked about the Saints' biggest issue on offense.

It would be hard to believe that none of these cryptic messages from Thomas were not directed at the Saints head coach/QB. Honestly, his honesty is respectable, too.

Thomas has never been one to shy away from making his thoughts clear. That is not changing anytime soon.

The veteran wideout is currently on injured reserve with a knee injury. He will have to miss at least three more games.
