Michigan Wolverines Recruits React To Hiring Of Brian Jean-Mary
David Rodriguez Munoz / USA TODAY NETWORK

New Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore has made the transition from Jim Harbaugh flawlessly. Not only did he keep players in the program, but he also assembled a great coaching staff. One of those hires was former Tennessee Volunteers linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary. Recruits recently reacted to this hire, and it is safe to say they are happy.

Michigan Wolverines Recruits On Brian Jean-Mary

Mason Curtis is a four-star linebacker in Michgan’s 2024 class. He seems stoked that Jean-Mary will be his positional coach.

“Me and Coach BJ had a relationship from when he recruited me (at Tennessee), and I’m excited to have him at Michigan”

Moore has gone out and gotten big-name recruiters, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Jean-Mary and new defensive line coach Greg Scruggs are known for their recruiting prowess. This team is going to feel the loss of Harbaugh and the many players leaving for the NFL Draft. However, the future looks bright for this team.

2024 Outlook

Michigan has one of the toughest schedules in 2024. The Texas Longhorns come to the Big House in the second week of the season. They are projected to have one of the best offenses in the country, with Quinn Ewers returning. Once Big Ten play begins, the Wolverines have dates with the USC Trojans, the Oregon Ducks, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. While USC and Oregon are at home, they have to travel to Columbus this year. This is on top of other tough Big Ten road games.

The road will not be easy for the Michigan Wolverines. However, they will not be as bad as people think. If they are able to win the Big Ten again this year, it would truly be a testament to the foundation they have laid.
