The Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl win was the culmination of a lifelong journey for several members of the organization, including head coach Nick Sirianni.

The head coach tasted defeat in this position two years ago, at the hands of the very team he defeated earlier this month, the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles' 44-20 win put Sirianni in the exclusive club of Super Bowl-winning head coaches. and he realized the enormity of the moment after the game.

NFL Films cameras and mics caught Sirianni speaking to his mother and father on the field at the Superdome after the final whistle sounded.

"Nick I'm so happy. We're so proud of you. We love you so much," his mother said as he hugged them both.

Sirianni and the Eagles overwhelmed the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, stopping Kansas City's bid for an unprecedented three-peat of titles. No team has ever won three straight Super Bowls, and the last team to win three NFL championships did so nearly 60 years ago.

The Eagles earned their second Super Bowl title in franchise history, stopping the Chiefs dynasty in its tracks just as it did for the New England Patriots at the end of the 2017 season.

Philadelphia enjoyed great seasons from star players like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, while new additions like Saquon Barkley and Cooper DeJean made their presence felt throughout the season.

DeJean, playing in the Super Bowl on his birthday, caught a pick-six that completely shifted momentum to the Eagles for the rest of the game. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was named the MVP of the game after two passing touchdowns and one score on the ground.

Hurts joins Tom Brady as the only other quarterback with a win over Mahomes' team in the Super Bowl, and the Eagles defense was a major reason for the victory.

The Eagles' pass rush sacked Mahomes six times, disrupting his rhythm and preventing the offense from gaining ground.

Sirianni and the Eagles are enjoying one of the more impressive Super Bowl victories in recent memory, and they're likely going to be among the favorites to reach next year's game as well.
