It was another brutal game for Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price against the Washington Commanders in Week 3. For as many glimpses of potential that Price has shown, he has one key issue that continues to plague him and that is fumbling.
Price fumbles in the first quarter against Washington, causing him to then go almost two full quarters without seeing the field again. When asked about Price and the fumbling problem, head coach Mike Macdonald gave better perspective as to where the team is at currently.
Following the game when asked about Price, Macdonald said, “We’re going to continue to give him the ball.”

For a rookie that the Seahawks invested first-round draft capital into, this is the response they need to have. The benching was the perfect response as there needed to be some kind of discipline, but completely switching their running back workload would only stunt Price’s growth.
As long as Price fixes the fumbling issues, the upside is still there with him for the Seahawks to continue to feel confident starting him.
