Mild Surprises as Browns Announce Final 53-Man Roster

The Browns waived defensive tackle Travis Bell (eye), defensive tackle Elijah Chatman (quadriceps) and linebacker Edefuan Olofoshio (biceps) with injury designations.

The team also waived running back Davon Booth, offensive guard Kingsley Eguakun, defensive end Logan Fano, wide receiver Gage Larvadain, offensive tackle KT Leveston, running back Ahmani Marshall, punt Wes Pahl, defensive tackle Tyreak Sapp, defensive end Khordae Sydnor, safety Zion Washington, linebacker Nathaniel Watson and wide receiver Kole Wilson.

Wide receiver Luke Floriea was believed to be a potential roster spot stealer, but he just came on too late, and was also waived.

Booth and Marshall showed flashes in the preseason finale, while getting a long look from the team in the preseason. They might try and Booth and/or Marshall back, should either clear waivers. Booth, the undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State, was particularly impressive at times.

Fano, the brother of first-round pick offensive lineman Spencer Fano, was a bit of a surprise, and he’ll also likely be brought back on the practice squad. Floriea, who spent the 2025 season on the practice squad, is a Northeast Ohio kid who did well in the preseason. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him brough back, too.

Larvadain is a player who is solid on special teams, including his work in the return game. He also showed he can catch the ball in the preseason finale, too, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him latch on with another organization.

Final Transactions to get Roster in Order

In addition to the players who were waived, the team also placed quarterback Dillon Gabriel on the reserve/injured list with a designation to return. Tight end Joe Royer was also played on the reserve/non-football injury list due to a personal issue, and he also has a designation to return.

Cornerback Myles Bryant, defensive tackle Sam Kamara and cornerback D’Angelo Ross were each released after having their contracts terminated.
