Miles Sanders is looking jacked ahead of the 2025 NFL season. He appears ready to suit up for his first season with the Dallas Cowboys.
Sanders is looking to bounce back from a less-than stellar stint with the Carolina Panthers. Totaling 637 rushing yards during his time there — Sanders doesn’t want his name forgotten. In response, he’s hit the weight room and then some.

Outside of Kaiir Elam, Sanders is another name that got the attention of people during OTAs/Minicamp.
Sanders shouldn’t be forgotten about as Dallas heads to training camp in a few weeks.

The former Penn State star’s powerful frame during what appears to be a deadlift tells the story of the work he’s put in. He’ll hope it pays off as he prepares for his first year in Dallas. He has rightfully turned heads during minicamp and OTAs as questions continue to surround the Cowboys’ running back room.
Dallas’ running back room currently consists of Sanders, Javonte Williams, Deuce Vaughn, Jaydon Blue, Phil Mafah, Hunter Luepke and Malik Davis. Among this group, Sanders has the opportunity to earn some extended playing time if he hits his stride during training camp.
After all, Sanders is a former 1,000-yard rusher. In 2022 during his fourth and final season with the Eagles, Sanders played in 17 games while totaling 259 carries for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was name to the 2022 Pro Bowl for his efforts.
In total, Sanders has rushed for 4,345 yards and 23 touchdowns. His most recent campaign in 2024 saw career lows with 55 carries, 205 yards, but managed to score two touchdowns compared to just one from the year before despite finishing with less total production last season.
Before joining Carolina, he rushed for at least 750 yards in each of his first three seasons in the NFL. He was looked at as a major player in free agency after his rookie contract expired. The Panthers eventually signed him to a four-year, $25 million contract ahead of the 2023 season but was released after two up-and-down seasons.
Sanders later signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys earlier this offseason. The Panthers ended up signing former Cowboys tailback Rico Dowdle in essentially a running back swap during free agency as he would also end up signing a one-year deal.
Ahead of his seventh NFL season, Sanders appears ready to go based on his recent photos. He likely has Dallas’ Week 1 matchup circled on the schedule — a road trip to Philadelphia to taken on the team that selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft.
