When you have an elite unit like Brian Flores' defense was with the Minnesota Vikings last season, you are bound to lose some assistant coaches to promotions. In turn, when the offense performed as poorly as Kevin O'Connell's did, you are likely to lose some assistant coaches for the opposite reasons.
So far, the Vikings have lost eight assistant coaches from last season:
With the hiring of Klint Kubiak as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, he is still putting together his first coaching staff, and that could spell issues for the Vikings. Assistant offensive coordinator/assistant quarterbacks coach Jordan Traylor could be in line for a position on Kubiak's staff, as they all worked together in New Orleans.

Traylor is only 32 years old and has spent the last five seasons in the NFL. He is the son of UTSA Roadrunners head coach Jeff Traylor, who was a legend at Gilmer High School in North Texas. He was with the New Orleans Saints from 2021-2024, and coached with both Kubiak and new offensive coordinator Andrew Janocko, both of whom coached with the Vikings for multiple seasons.
Kubiak bringing in coaches he knows isn't much of a surprise, but it would put O'Connell in a tough spot. He brought Traylor in to replace Grant Udinski when he took the Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator job. Replacing his position, which is mainly working with the quarterbacks, would be a tough one at this point in the calendar. They might be resigned to going to the college ranks, but we've seen a lot of college coaches going to the NFL level.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but it could be coming soon.
