The Minnesota Vikings are almost out of the playoff race after losing to the Packers. Their chances of making the playoff standings are too thin at just 2%. So, it’s already time to start thinking about next year’s draft. Here is a list of the top five prospects who boosted their stock with well-timed performances.
Davison Igbinosun kept the momentum going with another smooth outing against Rutgers. He allowed only 21 yards on three targets and stacked two unnecessary pass breakups on third down. He also added four tackles and showed the type of closing burst that helps him stay patient on the boundary. The confidence shows snap after snap. Minnesota wants corners who can stay physical without drawing flags (an area Igbinosun had struggled with but has improved in 2025), and this performance fits that mold. His early Day 2 outlook continues to improve.
Peyton Bowen turned in one of the sharpest defensive games of the entire week. The Denton Guyer native finished with seven tackles, added a tackle for loss, and jumped a second-quarter throw for a momentum-shifting interception. Missouri struggled to complete anything in his coverage area, which says plenty about his range and timing. Bowen was ranked the No. 3 safety in the Class of 2023 and also earned Under Armour All-American Honors in 2022. With Minnesota likely facing changes in safety, Bowen’s game lines up cleanly with what the team needs.
Sonny Styles reminded everyone why his name stays near the top of every versatility list. This season, the pro linebacker registered 63 tackles, including 35 solo tackles. He demonstrated his ability to maneuver with tight ends and running backs in open space. Minnesota places a high value on linebackers who can remain on the field for all three downs, and this player’s combination of size and athletic movement fulfills all requirements.
Damonic Williams set the tone early during Oklahoma’s win over Missouri. He finished with five tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack while consistently driving the interior backward. Missouri struggled to match his strength, and its quarterback felt steady pressure throughout the night. As a freshman in 2022, Williams played all 15 games and recorded 27 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. For his incredible performances, he earned significant praise and was named a Freshman All-American by 247Sports and College Football News. His sturdy base and heavy hands match exactly what Minnesota needs inside. A performance like this only pushes his stock upward.
Christian Gray delivered a clean and confident performance against Syracuse. In 2023, as a freshman, Gray started action in 11 games and played 11 tackles and 198 snaps at cornerback for the Fighting Irish. This season, he allowed one catch for nine yards on four targets and stepped up with a red-zone pass breakup that stopped a drive. His footwork stays sharp, and he reads route combinations with real maturity. Minnesota needs young corners who rely on sound technique, and Gray continues trending in that direction. His improvement keeps him firmly in the Day 2 picture.
