Two of the NFL’s most talented rosters face off on Monday Night Football, as Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions travel to Baltimore to face off against John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens. This game could easily be a Super Bowl preview, but who will walk away with the victory?

Monday Night Football: Lions-Ravens Predictions, Spreads, Prop Bets

Detroit Lions vs Baltimore Ravens (-5.5)
Over/Under: 53.5

The Detroit Lions struggled against arguably the NFL’s best defense in Week 1 before destroying arguably the NFL’s worst in Week 2. The real talent of this team likely lies somewhere between these two results, as they still have plenty of promising playmakers and an efficient quarterback in Jared Goff. The defense, meanwhile, remains productive as long as Aidan Hutchinson is on the field. While they could certainly use more depth, this team remains one of the best in football.

With that being said, the Baltimore Ravens are, top to bottom, the most talented team in the league. Lamar Jackson is a top-two quarterback, Derrick Henry remains a force on the ground, the offensive line is elite, the weapons perfectly complement Jackson, and the defense has playmakers at every level. While they’re not the best at closing out games, nobody can match them when they’re playing to the best of their ability.

This game should be a prime example of the NFL at its best, and anyone could win this Monday Night Football matchup. Given the tight nature of this projected contest, it’s hard to bet on a relatively large spread.

Prediction: Ravens win, do not cover spread
Over/Under: UNDER

Best Prop Bets

Jameson Williams: UNDER 47.5 Receiving Yards

Betting against Jameson Williams is never fun, as he has the speed to record 48 receiving yards on a single play. However, he’s a low-volume, high-efficiency type player with high variance on a week-to-week basis. While he can routinely destroy weak secondaries, he’ll struggle to find open space downfield against this strong secondary. Chances are, most of Goff’s targets will go to the high-volume guys like Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta.

Zay Flowers: OVER 65.5 Receiving Yards

Through two weeks of action, 2023 first-round pick Zay Flowers has been the clear focal point of the Baltimore Ravens passing attack. The Boston College product is averaging 10 targets, seven receptions, and 109 receiving yards per game. Maybe he can’t keep that pace for an entire season, but he should have no touble reaching 66 receiving yards in what should be a high-scoring affair on Monday Night Football.

Mark Andrews: NO Touchdown

It’s over. Mark Andrews was one of the best receiving tight ends of his time, but the former third-round pick is officially over hill. After a disastrous finish to the 2024 season, Andrews has responded with a collective two receptions for seven yards through two games. He’s a clear afterthought in the offense and is unlikely to find the endzone in this contest.
