The Cleveland Browns picked up win No. 2 of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday when they blew out the Miami Dolphins in Week 7 action. Cleveland needed a win over Miami any way they could get it, but the way it happened made it even better. The Browns beat the Dolphins in all three phases for most of the day and held a 17-6 lead by halftime.
Cleveland finished with 206 yards of offense on what was a rainy, windy day in which they forced four turnovers and didn’t have to ask their offense for more than it could provide. The Browns found some success running the football — something they badly needed after dropping back to pass 60 times against the Pittsburgh Steelers a week earlier.
“He runs hard. He’s dynamic. I mean, spinning off that tackle that most guys would’ve gone down clean on, that just shows how special he is as a runner,” Garrett said of Judkins’ second touchdown. “The other guys are getting burn as well, with Jerome and Dillon coming in and making some big plays for us. All of them are going to be crucial down the stretch to keep picking up wins, so I’m proud of all of them.”

Judkins had himself quite the day with three rushing touchdowns and 84 yards on the ground. His first score came on a 46-yard run where he broke loose and burned the Dolphins deep. Cleveland’s rookie running back looks like the perfect fit for the post–Nick Chubb era and is now up to 467 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season. Judkins wasn’t available for Cleveland’s season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a contract issue, but he’s hit the ground running since.
For a team that still lacks a true offensive identity, having Judkins emerge as the kind of running back he already is feels crucial to what Cleveland is building. He’s one of several rookies showing real progress for the Browns. Despite the team having just two wins so far, the rookie class has been a major bright spot.
The Dolphins entered Week 7 ranked dead last in the NFL against the run, allowing an average of 168 rushing yards per game. Cleveland knew they wanted to attack on the ground, and they executed that plan well. Next up for the Browns is a matchup with the New England Patriots before a bye week that’ll give them a chance to reset.
