Nebraska football up picked up a commitment on Wednesday afternoon from 2025 offensive tackle Sean Hammerbeck. He made the announcement on X.
Hammerbeck is the 44th overall offensive tackle in the 2025 class, and the top player in his class from the state of South Dakota per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Hammerbeck has had a busy couple of weeks. He visited Minnesota on June 8, and then Nebraska football on June 14. He also took a visit to Texas Tech on June 21. The Huskers won out in the end. He was recruited to Nebraska by Donovan Raiola. The latter has had a solid couple of weeks on the recruiting trail.
Hammerbeck measures in at six-foot-six, 260 pounds. He is a player who is very physical at the point of attack. This particularly helps in terms of the run game. As soon as the ball is snapped, he immediately extends his hands and drives his man back. This allows for clear lanes for the running back. This play style also helps in terms of pass protection. He is able to create a clear pocket for the quarterback, and drive his man back.

Hammerbeck is a physical player. His play style is very similar to some of the other lineman in the class. He is aggressive, and is not afraid to finish blocks. This is something that we have seen with many of the lineman that Raiola has brought in. They are all physical, and they are all aggressive.
This is another big offensive line get for a program that has landed several over the last week. Any concerns about offensive line recruiting should now be put to rest. Hammerbeck’s commitment makes No. 15 for the 2025 recruiting class. The offensive line has been a focus over the past couple weeks, and Hammerbeck has added to it.
