Netflix released on Tuesday "The Fall of Favre," a documentary about the complicated legacy of former NFL quarterback Brett Favre. The production is a partnership between Netflix and Front Office Sports.

The one-hour film addresses many topics, from Favre's stardom on the football field to his most recent scandals, including harassment allegations and the Mississippi welfare scandal.

"This eye-opening documentary delves into Brett Favre's controversial career, the dark side of sports stardom and the scandals that marred his legacy," Netflix's description of the documentary mentions. "'He was treated like a god.' This documentary reveals the dark side of Brett Favre's rise to football stardom -- and the ugly scandals that took him down."

Favre was accused of being a part of a scheme to divert $77 million in funds that should help families in need for projects including a volleyball arena at his alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi.

The documentary also interviewed Jenn Sterger, a former game-day host for the New York Jets who accused Favre of harassment for sexting and sending her explicit photos.

"Brett Favre ultimately destroyed my life," Sterger says.

Brett Favre, now 55, played in the NFL for almost two decades. He started his professional career for the Atlanta Falcons in 1991, then was traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1992 and reached his prime, winning three MVP awards in consecutive seasons between 1995 and 1997. He also won the Super Bowl for the Packers after the 1996 season.

After 16 seasons with the Packers, Favre was traded to the New York Jets and spent a year there in 2008. He still played his two final years for the Minnesota Vikings, making another Pro Bowl, his 11th, in 2009. Favre is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and had his no. 4 jersey retired by the Packers.

Back in September, during his testimony at a congressional hearing regarding the Mississippi welfare scandal, Favre revealed he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
