The New York Giants hold the third pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Their biggest need is evident to everyone around the NFL, quarterback.
Being so high typically would play well in their favor to land a top QB in the class, but this year's class is thought to have a major drop-off after the top two. Those being Miami's Cam Ward and Colarado's Shedeur Sanders.
In a new A to Z Sports mock draft, though, they land arguably their top option without even having to trade up.

"The stench of Danny Dimes is slowly fading off of the Giants organization. This staff needs to hit on the next quarterback, or else they won’t be around much longer. Sanders is the most accurate quarterback in the 2025 class by a pretty healthy margin."
- New A to Z Sports mock draft
Since late in the 2024 season, a large portion of Giants fans seem to gravitate towards Sanders being their preferred selection in the upcoming NFL Draft. Seeing their star wide receiver Malik Nabers catch passes from Sanders in the streets of New York probably added fuel to that fire.
There will be plenty of questions about how high Sanders' ceiling as a player truly is. But his incredible accuracy all over the field is undeniable. We've also seen how special he can be with a dynamic WR due to his work with Travis Hunter at Colorado. So it seems easy to envision Sanders and Nabers making some real noise under the bright New York lights. While the Giants' dreams come true in this mock draft, if they value Sanders significantly higher than the other QBs in this year's class, they would be wise to get aggressive and move up to pick one or two to make sure they get their guy.
