Mark Sanchez remains hospitalized after being stabbed early Saturday in Indianapolis, Indiana, but police have some questions about who the aggressor was in the incident.
Law enforcement sources told Angela Ganote of FOX59 in Indianapolis that Sanchez is not listed as the victim in a police report regarding the incident.
The unidentified victim alleged that he was delivering food when Sanchez confronted him about where he had parked. The victim alleged Sanchez threatened and followed him, and that he stabbed the former quarterback in self-defense.
Police alleged Sanchez was not cooperative when they initially arrived on the scene.

Later in the day, police arrested Sanchez at the hospital for "battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, all which are misdemeanors."

After further investigation and following consultation with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, IMPD arrested 38-year-old Mark Sanchez for his alleged role in this incident.

FOX59 also reported that the other individual involved in the incident had “lacerations” and was significantly injured himself. The report also stated that Sanchez was stabbed in the chest, and that his injuries required surgery.
Fox Sports has confirmed that Sanchez has been hospitalized in stable condition following the incident. He was in town to call Sunday’s game between the Colts and Las Vegas Raiders.
