New England Patriots congratulate Tom Brady after seventh Super Bowl victory

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is now the unquestioned greatest of all time. After leading his former Patriots team to six Super Bowl titles during a brilliant 20-year career, Brady got out from under Bill Belichick’s shadow this season.

The culmination was an MVP performance in a blowout 31-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Sunday evening at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay. Brady vastly outplayed star Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, throwing three first-half touchdown passes against zero interceptions in the stunning upset win.

Brady has now won a whopping seven Super Bowls during a career that will make him a unanimous first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer. Meanwhile, the Patriots are coming off their first losing season since all the way back in 2000. Some might think there would be hard feelings on the part of the Patriots. Not so fast.

The Patriots did not even need to mention Tom Brady by name. I guess, that’s the ultimate praise a player can receive. A tweet mentioning the greatest of all time without naming names. And we all know to whom the Patriots are referring. It’s also a representation of a classy organization.

The decision by Brady to leave New England last spring shocked the football world. After some initial struggles early this season, some figured that the 43-year-old quarterback was washed up. Boy, did Brady prove everyone wrong.

The backdrop here is a debate that has been raging for the past calendar year about who made more of an impact in the Patriots’ dynasty. Some pointed to Belichick. Others argued it was Brady.

Either way, the quarterback more than proved that he can have success without his longtime head coach in the mix. In the end, that ends any debate about the greatest of all time.

It’s Tom Brady. Plain and simple.
