New Giants RB Cam Skattebo Used to Run Into Telephone Poles for Football Prep

While it’s no secret to Big 12 fans just how incredible Cam Skattebo’s relationship with the game of football is, fans of the New York Giants are starting to get the picture.

Skattebo was selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and as they learn more about his story, they fall even more in love with his game.

 

The most recent example was a story about Skattebo as a kid preparing to play tackle football. In true Cam Skattebo fashion, the former Sun Devil would put on pads and run into telephone poles to simulate contact.

It didn’t take long for the story to go viral, and here were some of the best reactions on social media to Skattebo’s unique training style.
