Travis Kelce's future in the NFL had been a major talking point ever since the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl loss. Fortunately, fans didn't have to wait for long to know his decision, with Pat McAfee confirming on Thursday that the star tight end plans to return in the 2025 season.

"I reached out to source(s) on the future of [Travis Kelce]," McAfee wrote on X, along with a video of him revealing Kelce's Chiefs return on his show.

"Source(s) said I'M COMING BACK FOR SURE..." he added, referencing Kelce's message to him.

Furthermore, according to McAfee, Kelce promised to "get in the best shape" of his life this offseason, adding that the loss in Super Bowl LIX left a "real bad taste" in his mouth and that he "can't go out like that."

To recall, Kelce had a forgettable performance in the big game against the Philadelphia Eagles, tallying just four catches for 39 yards as the Chiefs lost, 40-22.

After the news of his return, which hyped up teammate and good friend Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce's podcast, titled "New Heights," further confirmed the development with a major announcement of its own.

"New Heights," which Kelce co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, shared an edited clip from "The Wolf of Wall Street" movie where the main character declared he's not leaving. The main character was edited with Kelce's face, while the crowd had the faces of coach Andy Reid, Mahomes and other members of the Chiefs.

"From the desk of @tkelce : ITS TIME FOR YEAR 13," the show's X account wrote, before sharing that the Kelce brothers will discuss the move in the next episode of the podcast.

"Full breakdown on next week’s episode!!!"

Sure enough, it will be interesting to see Kelce talk about his major career decision and what went behind it. For now, though, fans will have to wait for a bit since "New Heights" drops new episodes every Wednesday.
