New Orleans Saints agree to deal with veteran WR Equanimeous St. Brown before 2024 NFL Draft

Another move on offense came on Friday for the New Orleans Saints. Ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, they've added another depth wide receiver.

The Saints signed WR Equanimeous St. Brown to a one-year deal, according to the team.

St. Brown is the older brother of Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He's been in the NFL for six years.

St. Brown has caught 63 receptions for 928 yards and two touchdowns during his pro career.

Now, it is easy to expect that New Orleans may only grab one rookie wideout in this year's draft. Before the signing of St. Brown, Stanley Morgan Jr., and Cedrick Wilson, the Saints had just three wideouts on their roster. They've got six after this latest addition.

Accordingly, WR seems unlikely for their round one choice. I would expect them to attack the offensive or defensive line with that pick. That being said, a WR at pick 45 is not off the table.

St. Brown will battle with Wilson and A.T. Perry for targets. Expect Morgan to be a special teams player for most of his role.
